Licensure Supervision for Washington Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associates

The rubber meets the road and it’s time to work as a psychotherapist, and now you need a supervisor! Equally as important as your education, clinical supervision is one of the most significant cornerstones to practice as a psychotherapist. As your supervisor, my goal is develop confident private practice therapists ready to independent work.

We’ll be the right fit if:

  • You view this licensure requirement as an opportunity for additional education, not just a bureaucratic hurdle.

  • You’re relationally oriented. Techniques and trends come and go, but we’re going to focus on the here and now, process, transference, counter transference, and more relational dynamics.

  • You’re brave. Growing is hard and mistakes will happen - it’s a part of developing clinical excellence. Your job is to face the discomfort and talk about the learning opportunities.

  • You can commit. We’ll meet regularly (and often) to monitor progress.

What to expect:

  • 50 minute virtual or in-person consultation appointments weekly or every-other-week.

  • Clinical guidance around transference, counter transference, and other relational dynamics.

  • Private practice business consultation, including billing, marketing, time management, and more.

  • Reflections and observations on where you as a person meets being a therapist.

  • One hour of my time is billed at your clinical rate.
